If Fox was smart, they would go to FTA (Free To Air) satellite distribution. I can get news from all over the world without a subscription, but not FOX.
The Russians, Chinese, and even the Muzzies have a strong news broadcast presence on FTA. America does not.
Does this mean less of hat idiot and his white boards?
Just called DISH.
The lady at the other end say that they’re negotiating a new deal and that it could be several weeks to several months before anything is finalized!
Asked her if she’s getting a lot of calls - she said yes.
I told her if it’s going to take that long I’m going to switch to another carrier.
Lol...a little poetic justice there
The fibre that serves the town is literally a visual (infrared) representation of a multiplexed analogue waveform. The rest, of course, is DSL and T-carrier traffic. (ISDN can be multiplexed into a T1)
Most places have digital service, and have the line down-converted at the curb for faxes, ADT, &c.
With that being said, I don't think (real) U-Verse (and, the OANN) will be available anytime soon around here.
Recently, SBC rebranded all their digital services as U-Verse, while retaining the underlying infrastructure. While you could technically say that my town has U-Verse, it is still the same 3 Mbps DSL service. With a 768 kbps uplink, I don't think you could get the VOIP phone to work, let alone the IPTV.
A friend of mine, who lives on the south side of town, has U-Verse service brought in from Arlington, as they live less than half a mile from the county line. He even has the wireless transmitter box!

In a way, yes :)
Of course you could be right...but recently the Turner channels dropped off of DISH. That includes CNN.
It’s all about the money.
Dish is a tough negotiator. They forced Turner channels to go off air last month between the week of Halloween till day after Thanksgiving. I wonder if losing it on DIsh means you lost the Fox News Go app access if you even had it which you should have. I use Time Warner Cable so I wouldnt know.
I dont think Dish carries OAN :(
Maybe this could spur some change ? Thanks for your reply.
My mother has been raving about OAN, she thinks it is fantastic. Wish we had it.<<<<<<<<<<<
I’ve watched OAN it on occasion, and it was nice to have an alternative to Fox if I didn’t care for what was on. However, the newscaster (pleasant blonde, Fox news-looking lady) terribly mispronounced a couple of words that were fairly common, and that made the network seem sort of amateur. Kind of like Obama saying “Marine Corpse”. I haven’t had Dish for years, but would not stay with them if Fox stays gone, I like a choice.
Switching your TV provider isn't the answer, Ron. Switching only encourages channel owners to raise rate demands and drives up the costs for everyone.
Ahh, yes, the old 'don't leave us, we're fighting hard for you' plan. Somehow, I think that if they were actually fighting hard for customers, they'd come out with actual numbers.
Ever since the holderites engaged in the Ferguson mayhem, I've noticed that Free Republic has been slower to load. There's no doubt in my mind that this is part of hussein's campaign to squash those few truthful sources of news remaining. He and his cabal are already choking speeds with that net neutrality nonsense. Plus, has anyone else noticed more static during both Rush's and Mark's shows? That's why I think the hussein's FCC is involved. If the regime implements their plans, the only outlets left will be MSNBC, PBS and NPR. Indeed, 1984 is on the way, albeit 30 years later.

The pay feed of OAN is back on Filmon. It was gone for weeks and repalced with a not available message on the player.
I love DISH and I only turn FOX on when there is a big news story. CNN was off for weeks, along with Boomerang and Cartoon Network. We missed Flintstones the most. I can wait for Fox News.
so?
they’ve picked a side. either you support ‘em or you don’t.
personally, i’d drop it asap
Oh get over yourself, it’s a simple business dispute, this happens with the satellite tv providers and cable companies all the time. Providers renegotiate contracts. My cable company lost CBS stations for a couple of weeks, no big deal.
Sorry FRiend, the landscape has changed. Your tagline says it all, "Living in a Obamanation". Since the illegal seizure of power by hussein orchestrated by Soros and the mooselimbs, it's no longer business as usual in America. Things are no longer "simple" as indeed they once were. This corrupt administration is pulling strings behind the scenes to destroy the once-mighty free enterprise system and liberty. During the Reagan years, this kind of suppression of the truthful media didn't happen.
Seek medical attention soon.
THANKS FOR YOUR UPDATE (repeated below)!!!!
