Was St. Louis cop AMBUSHED?
Daily Mail ^ | 24 December 2014 | By Michael Zennie and Lydia Warren For Dailymail.com

The lawyer for the St. Louis-area cop who shot dead Antonio Martin on Tuesday night has suggested his client may have been set up and ambushed by Antonio Martin, who police say pulled a loaded 9mm pistol on the officer without warning.

The Berkeley, Missouri, officer was responding to a 911 call about a possible theft from a Mobil gas station about 11.15pm on Tuesday.

Brian Millikan, the lawyer for the unnamed 34-year-old Berkeley officer, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the cop may have been walking into a deadly trap set by Martin and his friend.

'Their behavior is certainly bizarre, and it wouldn't surprise me at all, in the environment we are in, that's for sure,' Mr Millikan told the newspaper.

The shooting happened just three miles from where unarmed teen Michael Brown was shot dead by white officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson in August. Berkeley, like Ferguson, is a predominately black St. Louis suburb.

Even the black DEMOCRAT Mayor said that the shooting looks justified..wonder how long it will take the media to call him an uncle tom..but of course liberals don’t give a damn about the TRUTH..they wanted this thug to kill the cop..they are protesting the fact that he didnt get a shot off

But Mom said he was just a good kid trying to turn his life around. A dead cop, a few paid interviews with CNN, and he would have had that fist full of Obama dollars that he needed to start a little mobile sales shop outside the middle school. Damn the luck!

There really is no point advancing the conversation or the wonderment exercise past “drew a gun on a cop”. Like it or not, someone is going to get shot after that, and I greatly prefer it not to be the cop.

They’ll be advancing the story that the kid just found the gun and was just trying to give it to the police officer. Just like in the PSA they saw.

Be was using a HiPoint 9mm and was black? That’s so stereotypical it’s like meeting a white redneck with a given name of Bubba who drives a truck and likes to drink beer.

Out of racial pride if he went with something less common like a Taurus in 357 he would have probably made it.

You probably maintain it and made sure it works well. Some guns are cheap to buy but takes time and effort to Mame it work well and reliable long term. HiPoint seems to fall into that category.

I watched the video and thought that were cornering the cop. Luckily the prep did not pull the trigger.

Are you aware that there is a no-limit, transferable warranty on all Hi-Point firearms?

It doesn't take an expensive gun to kill with the first shot at close range. I'm just thankful the perp was a dumbass.
