Ironically the reporter gets it correct in the article. The headline writing editor (who should know better) gets it wrong.
Disorientated is the British English form of the American word Disoriented.....
The word orientate means: to face or turn to the east
So, disorientate means to face away from the east. LOL.
Disorientated is proper Queen’s English. Daily Mail. There ya be.
Most journalists were taught their English grammar and spelling in Public School.
Perhaps you should check your dictionary.
