Poor thing ... Beagles should be muddy from chasing rabbits.

Watching the 7 finalists, I half believed the Shih Tzu was a possible winner. It was certainly an excellent dog. The beagle didn’t really grab my eye.

Does this mean that the Symbionese Liberation Army will attack The USA or the AKC?

OK, what’s the deal with the leash at the base of the skull - is it designed to force the dog to hold its head unnaturally high?

We watched last night and we loved the Beagle. We figured that the Portuguese Water dog was going to win because that is what obama has. Very pleased with the Beagle.

My fondest memories growing up was chasing after my beagle dog hot on a rabbit’s trail....yelping and jumping up over the soy beans periodically...then digging in the rabbit hole...sticking his nose in to smell, then resuming digging. He was an awesome dog and a great companion.

I thought the Springer Spaniel was a perfect example of a Springer Spaniel. I would have gone with the Springer.

But, to be honest, the lines, head, attitude of that Beagle was 100% pure Beagle. Besides, I like Beagles, and although I have a Ridgeback, I’d readily pick up a Beagle. (The wife wants a German middle-standard poodle, and I already have a dog. Lol.)

Harness only for my pooch. No stress on the neck.

One of the rescue dogs I used to have had serious neck problems that the vet said had probably come from being jerked on a leash.

I’m waiting for the Belgian Tervuren or any Belgian dog to win.
Having been in dog shows and having my dog in dog shows and knowing other handlers and breeders then I can safely say it’s all who knows who and what is good to one person is not to another.
