DST was man’s way of changing nature before climate change came around, and is is equally effective.
I like to think of DST as going back to nature - less dependency on the rigidity of "commerce"-time, and adapting to nature.
I suppose it also depends on where one lives in a tz, the leading edge or the trailing edge, too. Trailing edge residents really appreciate DST in the Summer.
DST has been quite effective for me, in terms of the evening hours and giving more daylight hours for various outdoor activities. I’ve always enjoyed that!
