The generals thoroughly politicized the Sangha in Burma and used the monks to further the authoritarian regime. The Sangha is the controlling council. As a result, the monks were used against the Christians, the Muslims and the pro democracy movement. So you aren’t seeing a typical Buddhist reaction to the aggression of the Muslims. Not too peaceful that is.
Especially a Buddhist who follow a code of conduct of not acting in a harmful way. But one of their tenants is also Wisdom that says they should view reality as it is, not as it appears to be, seeing things for what they are. In other words they don’t live in fantasy land like Obummer and this Congress. They see Islame and the Mudslimes for what they are.
