There has been far too much Internet rumor and conjecture surrounding TPA and TPP. In fact, the TPA bill passed by the Senate has been available for public viewing since May 22, 2015.

Note: With passage of TPA, any subsequent trade bill requires a 60-day advanced public viewing.

You do understand it is the TPP that is being kept secret, correct?

Frankly, this two-step process is one that is intended to confuse. Give the President the authority to make a trade pact and set the rules for reviewing and approving any agreement reached after the authorization is legitimized by the TPA.

No amendments - up or down vote, yes or no - end of discussion. During this period Democrats, RINOs and the President will vilify anyone who DARES to suggest the deal is bad in any manner.

Oh, you’ll have 60 days to review it. An uneditable potential obituary on whatever part of America Obama is now wanting to squander away. You can review it, though. Just not right now - because you have to pass the TPA so you won’t have any chance to alter the TPP they’re keeping hidden in some basement until you pass the TPA.

There’s not one Senator who would vote for a law that binds all future laws to these same conditions pf passage but it is okay to do it just this one time for a maniac President and his ‘agreements’? Not no, but hell no.
