Mr Trump - who is a Republican - says he will make an announcement on June 16th that he says is "going to be very dramatic and going to make a lot of people very happy".
He told Newstalk Breakfast: "It'll be something - we're going to have a wild time, because the United States should be doing much better than it's doing".

Listen to his interview below:
(link is on the page, in the article)
“Call me Brittney.”
I would rather drill a hole in my own skull and pour hot melted lead into it.
I hope he announces he will run as a Democrat
PS: I'm looking at Trump as maybe the "Hail Mary pass" that the US needs to WAKE UP!
Just saying.
Trump is American. Trump advocates for American jobs. Trump is against the TPP (which Cruz for some reason has backed so far).
Trump is for bringing jobs back to America, from China and elsewhere.
Trump is for our military, and strongly for American veterans.
Trump is for securing our southern border.
Trump thus far, seems to hold all of the positions I hold.
He also will not be obliged to donors, so he can actually ADVOCATE for these things, unlike most politicians.
Sure he’s someone who has a big ego, but frankly I believe so does everyone, who runs for office.
I’m all for him at the moment.
Five days, until he announces, or stands down.
You really have to fax me a bit of whatever you're smoking.
Haha.
Just saying. There’s nothing in the world, preventing Ted Cruz from adopting these position.
Why does he seem to be leaning the direction, he is leaning?
I sure don’t know. But Donald Trump is completely right on so many important issues, all of which will play well (even across party lines)
He’s going to be a very strong candidate, if he runs.
Less than one week, and we will know.
Seems to me “The Donald” has subjected the US to this sort of speculation the last couple of election cycles.
I completely agree.
Donald has a (very) big test coming five days from now.
He will either pass, or he will fail. No grey area this time.
LOL!
Probably what happened is he's invited reporters to come to his announcement and they report on the announcement. Ingrates. He should give them one hour's notice and say "be here". His attempt to give the media advance notce is a sign of weakness. They are the enemy and must be controlled not coddled.
As a long term member of our local GOP, I would like to see what Trump has to offer! (It may be better then what several of our candidates are saying.)
Let us not forget also that The Donald has shown strong indications he would create a Department of Building Materials and appoint a Director of wallboard..............
Attention whore....
The Donald has a way of making hyperbolic statements...
So when Trump wins the presidency, do we call him "The Donald" or "Mr. President"?
Enquiring minds want to know
Trump, Rove, McCain, Graham, etc couldn’t go a day without their TV Camera fix. Remember as well the grand Trump Endorsement Fiasco of last election. How can anyone reasonably take his running seriously? Does The Donald as he is called need that much constant attention that he has to have a new newsmaker event always in the works for the attention media gives him?
He may sound good but this guy was broke twice before and because he owed the banks so much he was carried by them until the markets turned. He’s in my private overrated Hall of Fame alongside HRC, Robert McNamara and Lee Iacocca.
His ‘shocking’ announcement will likely be either:
He’s changing from one hair implant company to another
He will set up an exploratory committee to try to increase his already bloated ‘Q’ rating
He will challenge Brock Lesner for Wrestlemania 31 in a hair versus hair match
He will back someone else
Take your pick. No matter what it will serve Donald Trump, not the country . . .
I agree with you completely.
However, I believe he’s actually going to run this time.
We will know in less than one week. If he stands down, I will apologize to everyone on this board, publicly.
I just think this time is different. Don’t know why, I don’t even know why I’ve become so pro-Trump in the last month.
Nobody else is saying what I believe an American president should be saying.
I think that is the issue. He’s just so completely right on, about so many issues.
We shall see.
