Yeah, and we really don'tneed to see the actors of modern shows go to the bathroom, either. The actors and actresses are ral people. Eventually, Patrick McGoohan (Secret Agent/Danger Man) refused to kiss a woman not his wife on screen, as then they could have him do more. If I were in an alternate universe and I got to play Robert Petrie in that universe's version of the Dick Van Dyke Show, my wife would NOT want me to share a bed with a young Mary Tyler Moore.

Incidentally, one the original poster missed, but my wife catches,

Women NEVER remove their makeup when going to bed (then or now).

Women were in the kitchen wearing pearls.
The kids were scrub clean and not sassing back except that Opie kid who kept throwing rocks at people at the lake.....
Cars were HUGE with tailfins.
Suit and ties no matter how hot it must have been.
No A/C
People were in better shape and not Wal-Mart size.
Dialog you could listen to for the most part. The shows were better written. You did not cringe like you do with today’s shows written by lazy writers.
When color tv came along the shows were more colorful.
Many shows today are not brightly lit but dingy.
The westerns where you could tell they were inside a studio because the backdrop was flat. Look at Gunsmoke town as an example.
