The puritanical side of me here, but if you have a potential LIFETIME of income depending on keeping it together for a few years, why the hell are you, as a FRESHMAN, in a bar in the first place? My advice to any athlete with any prospect of a pro career is “do not go to any parties where there is alcohol or go to any bars until you get your first pro contract.”

But that IS!!! the life of many pro and college athletes....sports, bars, parties. The latter two are where the athletes find the females, drugs, and liquor they so strongly desire. Expecting them to stay home and either bible study or read Shakespeare is not in the cards.

Correct.
Its been a while since I was a college freshman, but the best I can recall is that you are about 2-3 years away from legal drinking age.
