Trump’s campaign blames intern for tweet featuring Nazi soldiers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Donald Trump is in the spotlight again after his presidential campaign put the blame on an intern for a social media mistake.

Trump’s Twitter account posted a picture of Nazi soldiers. The image features an American flag, a portrait of Trump, money, the White House, and soldiers all combined in one photo.

Twitter users pointed out the soldiers in the bottom-right of the photo are not American. They were German World War II soldiers wearing Nazi uniforms.

The photo was flagged and the Trump campaign quickly deleted the tweet shortly after.

A Trump spokesman said the intern tweeted the picture before staffers could review it.

“A young intern created and posted the image and did not see the very faded figures within the flag of the stock photo,” the spokesperson told The Guardian. “The intern apologized and immediately deleted the tweet.”

According to The Guardian, in the same hour the Nazi image was tweeted, USA Today released a poll showing Trump is now the leading candidate for the Republican party’s presidential nomination.

It showed Trump is ahead of the Republican field with 17 percent of support. Florida governor Jeb Bush is right behind him at 14 percent.

As of now, it is unclear if the Nazi tweet mistake will affect voters.

The press is experienced at creating shiny objects for distraction.

Really? Really? Clinton was molesting a intern in the Oval Office with his wife and kid upstairs and the Democrats worship him.
A tweet? Really?

This is news?
A tweet with erroneous faded graphic?

Looking forward to Trump’s next speech.

Of course, when liberal interns, or politicians for that matter, make mistakes, all is forgiven.

Even Anthony Wiener made his “mistake.” Till he became a habitual offender.

Tough to predict. The press and the public are fickle. Who'd have guessed that the shelf life of the confederate flag issue would be measured in weeks?

The press is still running with the "Trump is anti-immigrant" falsehood.

"Trump is a closet Nazi" will be tough for the press to resist!

It really depends on which campaign makes the mistake.

It was a dumb easily avoided mistake but that’s all it is.

That's it? That's the source of this manufactured controversy? Pathetic.

The Clinton-Confederate connection was a far bigger "scandal", and that was completely trivial, except in the sense of demonstrating their hypocrisy.

But it won’t have any impact on a single person who in any way is a potential future Trump supporter.....

Trump, you’re going to have to check EVERYONE who you hire. Even....or maybe especially the sweet little interns.

In my mind, I can see GOPe ads featuring the German troops and photo shopped pictures of Trump’s face with a little toothbrush mustache wearing a tan uniform with a Sam Browne belt.

They live in a parallel universe to we normal people. It’s ok for them to do that stuff, but everyone else? Naaahhh

A tweet? Really?

You don't fully appreciate how Big Gay Media will use this.

Because from now on, we will endlessly hear about "that Nazi stuff" whenever CNN, NYT, ABC, etc. talk about Trump. It gives them a chance to constantly tie the two together, long after the "mere tweet" is forgotten.

And make no mistake, Big Gay Media has to destroy Trump, he presents a real threat to their bleeding-heart agenda.

Trump, you’re going to have to check EVERYONE who you hire.

Especially the SEIU bartenders at your private donor events. Ban all cellphones from service workers during events, or you WILL have another Romney "47%" crisis on your hands.

According to the description, this was an intern who didn't follow procedure. The Trump organization was immediately responsive to that error.

I take it as a plus.

No more Omorosa's. Yeah, sometimes the show was like watching a train wreck, but somehow Trump always ended up on top.
