So many are only out to BASH & DESTROY, how about we try to offer "constructive criticism" and ideas as to what would make a great candidate for US President.
Here goes:
#1 - Mr. Trump turn down the US presidential salary (you don't need it) and donate it to a children's hospital.
....or donate it to a group fighting for traditional marriage (may as well keep the left frothing at the mouth).
ALREADY he refuses donations
at least doesn't advertise nor ask for money
He's said many times ... "I don't need your money"
I think the salary statement is just lieing in wait for the right time
God knows we need it...
Trump should go after the judges and government agencies that make laws without any constitutional authority.
Trumps immigration plan will have devastating effects on sanctuary cities. It will empty Los Angeles again, similar to the 1977 California Supreme Court ruling that forced Los Angeles to bus our kids into violent neighborhoods, we all moved out of the school district and left houses, apartments and schools empty creating what they called White Flight.
The local governments solution was to become a sanctuary city and let illegal aliens fill up the housing and schools.
When the rest of the state balked at paying for illegal aliens, the voters passed Prop 187 to deny benefits to the aliens.
Judge Mariana Pfaelzer overturned the majority of the law, turning California into a sanctuary state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariana_Pfaelzer
Imagine that, one person had the power to impose her will on an entire state full of millions of people that didnt agree with her. Donald Trump should make rogue judges his next target.
In 2011 Newt Gingrich at Values Voter Summit How to Fight Back Against Out-of-Control Judges speech Newt said: One of the major reasons that I am running for President of the United States is the 9th Circuit Court decision in 2002 that One Nation Under God in the Pledge of Allegiance was unconstitutional
because if judges think they are unchallengeable they are inedible corrupt. Corrupted in a moral sense. I dont mean taking money, but I mean in a sense of arrogance, in the sense of imposing on the rest of us. Whether it is one judge in California deciding he knows more than 8 million Californians about the definition of marriage, whether it is a judge San Antonio who rules that not only can school children can not say a prayer at their graduation, they can not use the word benediction, they can not use the word invocation, they can not use the word God, they can not ask the audience to stand, and if they do any of these things, he will lock up their superintendent.
Now the idea of an American judge becoming a dictator of words is so alien to our tradition, and such a violation of our Constitution as I will explain in a moment, that that judge should be removed from office summarily.
Jefferson is the most clear example of taking on the judiciary, in the Judicial Reform Act of 1802, the Jeffersonians eliminated 18 out of 35 federal judges. Didnt impeach them, just abolished their office and told them to go home.
Now Im not, let me be clear, I am not as bold as Jefferson. I think the judge in San Antonio would be an important initial signal and I think the 9th Circuit Court should be served notice that it runs the risk of ceasing to exist.
The bureaucrats would waste 98% of that salary, but it’d be a stroke of genius politically.
Probably on advice of his handlers ....but tell me ...
WHY would someone who publicly says "I don't need your money" and publishes his financial statement as being in excess of 10 Billion dollars even HAVE a website with a "donate" button ?
Probably to just keep the pot stirring
Agreed.
I want him to investigate and imprison some traitors.
I want Trump to fly to Israel. And meanwhile buy a planeload of supplies and deliver it to the Kurds as a smashing statement, show of support. Boom.
I want Trump to be bringing it to black neighborhoods and suck the oxygen out of the current vampires in charge of that voting bloc.
I want Trump to promise to keep the A-10, and to build more.
That’s all until a decent cup of coffee ;)
Trump has refused LARGE donations, the kind that always come with strings attached and the expectation of favors down the road.
He will take money from the “vulgar unwashed masses” (or translated from the GOPese...”We The People”).
The max donation possible through his website is $2,700.
The salary thing is petty and, IMO, could be seen as putting his less wealthy competitors on the spot. Still, it is something that I’ve seen wealthy gubernatorial candidates do. To me it is nowhere near the priority that of strong, growth economic plan or plan to reduce the size and function of the federal government, for example.
He’s already plenty well delivered on my top priority by far, by the way, which of course is immigration.
“promise to” investigate...he’s not POTUS yet.
Again, IMO, not a priority when he’s trying to build a broad coalition to get elected. Just look at the polls and our younger generation has already decided the issue. An error, in my judgment, but decided by the population.
He takes donations online, but just the individual, direct donation type up to $5,400 I think it is per couple. The biggies are the PACs and donations into the millions—which he is indeed turning down.
I really am starting to believe he could be the right man for this time.
He takes small, direct donations only. You’re not buying influence at the federal level with a couple thousand dollars.
Trump’s immigration plan would start to pull actual citizens back into cities like LA. Lots of change but IMO for the better by far.
Dear Mr. Trump,
In the campaign, I would like you to talk more loudly and clearly about how the Republican Congress, elected in 2014 to curb the worst of Obama’s Government By Fiat and to defund many of the worst Obama initiatives, has opposed NOTHING and defunded NOTHING.
As one FReeper posted on a different thread, we can’t fight the dems without first fighting the repub leadership.
Thanks.
Trump or his staff need sit down with Mark Levin and plan a strategy to champion and drive to completion Levin’s Constitutional amendments. In the long term, this has to be the agenda for lasting governmental reform.
When dt gets in office i hope he uses the entire power of the government to get the last say on obamas birth certificate and find out and expose who obama is
