AH, devolving to ad hominem attacks. . . good form, HonkyTonkMan. You have no factual arguments so you attack the messenger. How civil of you. Why would the CEO of BESTBUY be carrying Apple's water for them? You have no sane argument to bolster that claim. . . so you make up lies to make your claims because you don't like Apple. Is that sane?
I post this "crap" as you call it because I maintain the Apple Interest Group on FreeRepublic made up of over 700 of your fellow FreeRepublic members. They've asked me to do it and to ping them to articles on Apple topics. They kinda outnumber you.
Making up lies, sten? Please provide your proof. You cannot, because there is none.
I'm not hurt at all. . . because all evidence shows that the Apple Watch has outsold the highest selling product in history in its first 90 days on the market. . . which would make it the new record highest setter. The previous record holder was the Apple iPad in 2010.
You've continued to use incorrect terminology in the name of the product because you simply don't like it. . . and you attack me with terms like "butt hurt" with all the implications that implies. An ad hominem attack because you simply have no facts except bluster and insults. It just makes you look stupid.
he used the term butt hurt to show you that he is is bereft of intellectual rigor:)
Your mamma has good form, buddy. lol
More ad hominem attacks from you. My mother taught me good manners and civil behavior in public. Not so you and another on this thread with both of your attempts to hijack the topic to something it is not.
With the iPhone, there are a lot of ancillary sales: Cases, screen protectors, chargers, speaker docks, and so on. I don't know what kind of accessories they can sell with the watch.
Good point. One other problem at RS was the employees were taking time to set up new services on the iPhones. So not only was there little to no profit margin on each iPhone sale, it also took a sales associate time to connect the new device. In effect, RS was losing money on the labor and product. RS has emerged from bankruptcy and in the remaining stores, Sprint has new kiosks for service - effectively a store within a store concept. Not sure who gets those ancillary sales in this agreement and you are right.....not many extra accessories to sell on a watch!
The biggest problem I had with Radio Shack was that they operated on thin margins with small, not very knowledgeable staffs — and when they glued a smartphone business onto that, they were spending all of their time on something that they weren’t doing particularly well.
The last time I went into a Radio Shack was to buy a headphone adapter. Both of the associates working at the time were helping customers activate and set up their phones. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to allow me to buy the item I came into the store and found for myself, I left it on the counter and walked out.
RS abandoned the niche of little electronic doodads that it had all to itself (competing with Amazon) and threw itself into a crowded field that almost everyone was doing better. Apple Stores, Best Buy, even Walmart had or were willing to hire enough people to support the business.
