I always have the same question:
Where does the hydrogen come from?
I know the answer...just like to remind everyone that you don’t just pump hydrogen out of the ground.

The peasants will have to walk or ride a donkey because only the wealthiest will be able to afford this vehicle and the price of electricity if hundreds of thousands of batteries will have to be charged by solar panels.

On a related subject, of all the electric car charging stations I have seen in Arizona and California, I have never seen one actually being used. The one at the local library even had cobwebs.

Where does the hydrogen come from? Most likely, from natural gas, in order to be cost effective.
But guess what?
Obama's EPA is seeking to curb methane pollution, thereby natural gas production; by a large amount.
Isn't government grand?
By the time they hammer us down with regulations, the planet will begin a cooling cycle.
A new crisis to be managed.

“impressive energy density, able to store about 4 KWh/liter.”
...But KWhr/lb is the significant metric.
Well, good luck to all anyway.

The report also indicated that the hydrogen was stored at low pressure in some form of powdered medium. The fuel cell could be refilled through an gas inlet port converted from the headphone jack.I can see the warning labels on that sucka.....LOL

Hydrogen does not have a good track record in the passenger transport industry.

My buddy’s daughter bought a Tesla, and was loving the free juice at her employer.
Then some other guy bought a Volt and now they arm wrestle over the plug in.

The catch is that you have to send the car back to Apple if *anything* goes wrong, even if you need tires. No user-serviceable parts at all, and no local service centers. Also, you'll only be allowed to travel on the Apple-approved network of roads. Non-approved roads won't show up on the in-car navigation, and attempting to travel on an unapproved road will void your warranty.
Oh, and Apple will record all your journeys, including the number of passengers, speed, time at destination, and so on.

“The report also indicated that the hydrogen was stored at low pressure in some form of powdered medium. The fuel cell could be refilled through an gas inlet port converted from the headphone jack.”
That’s flat out rad.
I doubt Apple is doing an entire car. Good for them if they are, but they’d make substantially more cash with less overhead supplying brains for cars vs. the entire car itself. Why limit yourself to your own brand when your product could be installed in countless makes and models of vehicles.
Understand that I am not talking about some clunky double din head unit that replaces your stereo. I am talking about something that is elegantly engineered into an auto manufacturer’s design. Honda might integrate it one while the UAW will find a way to require 18 people to install it @$47.50/hr + 12 weeks vacation in GM cars.
