There was a time when my room mate hated getting up. as an architecture student he routinely stayed up most of the night working on what ever it is they work on in the building where the lights stay on all the time.
He connected the stereo to the radio that had a timer outlet. He put on a 45 of Zip-a-dee-doo-dah at full volume to literally blast him out of bed.
Alas, he died three years ago at 70.....
