Who are you to say I have to care what shows are on TV for blacks? TV/Cable/etc are about viewership from those viewers willing to subscribe or to watch ads.
Frankly, I don’t give a crap how horrid they think TV is for them. I’m not saying to cancel their shows; if the show draws the viewers, then it will stand on its own.
That’s a “good lesson” for you.

I watched part of one episode, determined it to be filth, and never watched any more of it. I don’t watch shows about faggots.
I have watched all of a minute of ‘Black-ish’ only to hear about how white people have used the n word so much that now only blacks can, and will use it while whitey can’t. Next time flipping through, I heard the same black guy angrily state how white man sold black people, conveniently leaving out blacks and muslims role in slave trading.
Never again will I sully my screen or mind with that dung.
I frequently looked up information on the net after watching an episode. For example, they often used actual vintage cars versus reproduced ones....one was worth a million dollars.
The costumes are gorgeous.
They are now doing a Miss Fisher movie. So I guess it will be awhile before we see Season 4 if ever since Essie Davis seems to be in demand.
Haven't watched it, other than long enough to see the direction is was aimed, won't watch because I have better things to do...such as sitting on this forum and trashing crappy TV shows that I don't watch.

They started the repressed black garbage but there are no major white characters in the show repressing anyone. It’s mostly rich blacks doing what the be wanting to do. See what I’m saying?
The show has never been accurate in the first place because if it was they would be saying nigg× every other word. I use that word in naming the show. I’ve always called Nigg× Dynasty.
They went from great to garbage in one season.
If you liked the Sopranos Netflix had Lilyhammer but it has been cancelled due to complicated issues over rights and costs. Every time I see Steven Van Zandt I wonder if he has some kind of medical condition with his neck and shoulders or of that it just an affectation.
I’d rather them stop on a high note than have it dry up and die like Downton has.
Another Netflix show I enjoyed is Narcos. I have never watched a series on Pablo Escobar so it was basically new to me.
It is another show where I took to the internet to find out if things they showed really happened.
One of the interesting things is the claim that US didn’t really want to get into the whole Escobar situation until he sided with the Commies.
My, how things have changed with a Commie in the White House.
I binged "Breaking Bad": entire show in about a month on Netflix. Thoroughly enjoyed that.
I’ve never believed the ratings that were being reported. Since the beginning, I’ve thought the hype was a bit of affirmative-action myth making. I don’t know anyone who’s ever watched a single episode (I’ve asked around), never heard it discussed at work or any social gathering, never seen a single post referencing it in any of my social media feeds. And I hear a lot of conversation about television.
Some on this site might like Longmire, a stoic sheriff who doesn’t own a cell phone and deals with Native American issues. If you have never heard of it..Netflix picked it up for another season but has not renewed it for Season 5 yet.

Let me know when they have a “White Entertainment Network” (WET) channel on cable.
But I believe part of that is lower adoption of online, streaming TV by African-Americans and their lagging preference for basic cable.
It is not as broadly popular a show as the media coverage implies.
I turned the channel after my first 5 minutes of Empire and 10 minutes of Rosewood.
Neither grabbed my interest.
Fox Channel seems to struggle. They seem to have major hits and major misses in their programming. They and NBC seem to race each new season to see which can get more programs pulled the earliest.
In the 80’s, white and blacks watched the Cosby show. And the reason was that they were a ‘normal’ family who were successful and just happened to be black. They were living the American dream as Americans. Now everything is balkanized to stir the racial pot.
And just like real life..peel back the layers and you can have serial rapist. You just never know who is living next door
