The decision by officials at a high school in Montana to give up $117,000 in federal money and drop Michelle Obama's healthy lunch program has proved to be a popular and profitable success.

Business has been booming in Bozeman High School's cafeteria since its board members voted to drop the National School Lunch Program in a bid to keep students from leaving campus to eat.

The lunch program set limits on calories, fat and salt in lunches and mandated that more whole grains, fruits and vegetables should be served in order to curb the onset of childhood obesity.

Moe and more will give their money back. Of course they won’t eliminate the program money....just transfer it to another free meal program. Idiots.

Since Montana has come up, something to think about and act on!
Ryan Zinke (R. Montana) has a Gradegov.com grade of “B”. If you’re not familiar with Gradegov, it is a VOTER DRIVEN rating system in which constituents rate their representatives and senators from “A” to “F”. Given that most of the folks out Montana way are pretty conservative ranch and farm people, Zinke’s “B” looks pretty good and makes him a better candidate than some of the “C”s and “D”s the GOPe is trying to palm off on us. AND, UNLIKE PAUL RYAN, HE WANTS THE GIG! (And if Montana libtard Ted Turner hadn’t voted 250 times giving Zinke “F”s, that “B” would probably have risen to an “A”.
We need a guy in that job who will FIGHT. Ryan Zinke looks like that guy.
Check out Gradegov for yourself and let the world know how you feel about YOUR guy!
Then call your guy’s office in Malfunction Junction and tell him to get behind Ryan Zinke. The Capitol switchboard is 202-224-3121.

Sounds like the district will end up making a profit greater than the govt handout

If they fed prisoners food like that they would riot and then some judge would deem it ‘cruel and unusual punishment’.

Neither MO, nor her kids, nor her hubby would eat any of that crap on ‘her’ school lunch program menu.

They dine on the finest while they want to control what the peasants are to eat.

==

After the analysis, these schools will discover they lost more as food was tossed in the garbage than if they would have declined the FED funds and served decent meals.

I wonder where the difference in cost went. Some of those MO meals in various pictures contained no more than about 75¢ worth of food. Schools charge around $2 for student lunches. Who pocketed the difference?

And when one or more of the students going off campus to eat a decent meal suited to a teenager’s metabolism gets injured or killed in a traffic accident, who is liable? The school or the unelected fascist busy body who came up with the extortion? They ought to lock her in a cell for a school year and feed her the crap she mandated for our kids and see how she likes it.

Seems like someone said the Daily Mail is going to open offices in the US.

That might shame the current propaganda print and broadcast media, but don’t bet on it.

more schools need to throw off the yoke of federal money dependence and start to stand on their own.

until they do, they’re controlled by fedgov
