Police are searching for the suspect in the downtown Fort Myers shooting that left one person dead and four others injured.
The shooting happened in the 2200 block of First Street around 11:45 p.m. -- while the annual Zombicon event was going on in downtown Fort Myers.
Thousands were filling the streets for the city's annual Zombicon Fest when witnesses say they heard eight to ten pops. Many immediately recognized it as gunfire and went running in every direction. Crows of people were running in fear, not knowing what happened.

Something weird and creepy about this year around love of zombies. Makes me wonder what’s really behind it all.
In the real Zombie Apocalypse, the zombies will shoot back.
A bunch of crows is a murder.
No, a bunch of crows is a murder as in a murder of crows.
LOL!
Rick Grimes knows how to deal with zombies.
** a large flock of crows *** is a murder.
Zombies are politically correct proxies for fear of black-on-white crime.
And you thought zombies only come out in huge numbers on election day. Was there a Dem voter registration booth at the festival?
IMHO if you walk around dressed up like a zombie, don’t be surprised if you end up as “another one for the fire”.
FYI
Yep,,,,hadn’t thought of that.
“Expavious Tyrell Taylor, who turned 20 on Oct. 5, was killed in the shooting.”
Probably not an attendee at ZombieCon.
“Crows lives matter!”.
Crows, Freepers new substitute for “Amish”?
I found Expavious Tyrell Taylor's Facebook page.
Actually looked like a good guy, not a thug.
“Crows of people were running in fear, not knowing what happened.”
Are we talking about zombies or The Birds?
I really don’t understand the attraction of zombies. My daughter, who is very smart and responsible and is 29, loves The Walking Dead. I don’t get it.
Same with vampires, ghosts, occult. To me it’s just more signs of end times.
A better headline might be
“Expavious expires and graduates to zombiehood at Zombicon “
