Charged: Jeremiah Kaylor, 38, was arrested on suspicion of burglary after police say he was squatting in a mansion and selling off the art \

San Francisco police say they arrested a man who was squatting in a mansion on the market and sold several paintings from the home valued at more than $300,000. The San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday that officers found Jeremiah Kaylor, 38, of Arizona at the home in the ritzy Pacific Heights neighborhood after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Officer Carlos Manfredi says the man told police he was buying the home, but a real estate agent said he was trespassing. The agent also said 11 paintings were missing. Though the art was valued in the high six-figures, Manfredi said Kaylor sold the pieces for well below their value. Police responded to the home on Sunday and found Kaylor with a painting next to a moving van. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary after a neighbor tipped off the police that they saw lights on in the vacant home.

Authorities say they tracked down nine of the paintings and expect to find the other two soon. The home which was once valued at $25million is now listed as a 'single family home' for $17million. It had been vacant for five years, according to CBS San Francisco.

He looks smug, like it was all a joke.

At least he'll have 3 hots and a cot for the foreseeable future.

Kinda what I was thinking. Also, who leaves 300K work of ANYTHING laying around in a vacant home?

Great real estate agent! Neighborhood Watch wasn’t particularly vigilant. When seconds count the police were two months away. But basically, if the owner is still alive he or she is an idiot.

Dunno but he looks happy anyway. Kinda resembles actor Kevin Pollak IMO.

I thought San Fran was a Sanctuary City. This seems reasonable to me, he was there illegally and he received benefits. Why does the lib owner have a problem with this?

Forget the abstract stuff, I like the paintings on the walls.

25 million dollar home......with no security system.

...and vacant for the past 5 years. The original owner was likely a high roller who fell on his luck and walked away from both the house and the bank..........

Still, you’d think the pricey artwork would’ve been hauled off to a consignment gallery, or something. Very odd.

It is very odd.......What's even more odd is the fact that there is no comment by the owner..........

I'm thinking the owner was involved in major drug trafficking and had to make a hasty retreat out of town.........leaving everything behind and the bank now in possession of all of it.
