Bad Flu Shots? - Vanity
10-30-15 | RetiredTexasVet

Bad flu shots. Two people in San Angelo, TX recently got flu shots and were hospitalized the next day. One was a 9 year old girl who received a flu shot and was in critical condition in the hospital the next day. Another was a working woman who received the flu shot and was hospitalized the next day.

Wonder if this was a bad batch that was local or have there been other cases in Texas or nationally?

I don’t trust the Government, either.

Some flu vaccines do not contain preservative. I think the one I received this year is preservative-free.

I have been getting a flu shot every year for the past decade, and I have never had the flu. People tell me that it is miserable.

A year or so ago, I had a reaction to the flu vaccine. I discussed it with a nurse this year, and she thought that I would be fine taking the vaccine. So I did. I did not react to it.

Everyone has to go by their own conscience, but it seems to me that folks who still get government vaccinations really do not understand the evil in high places of our government. A simple lookup of John Holdren should be enough. And by the way, God says in the Bible that if we trust in Him, we will be protected from disease.

You do realize, don't you, that the government does not make vaccines? That the vaccines that the government gives to its employees are all purchased from private companies?

For that matter, why would the government give its employees vaccines if they weren't safe and effective? Would the government really want to harm its own workers?

When I googled it, the story appears to have come from a well known hoax site.

World News Daily Report.

2 words...Science Czar (John Holdren, author of Ecoscience”. God protects my family from disease. I can understand why folks choose to go the vaccination route, but we prefer faith. My 95 year old relatives never received man-made immunizations and they are going strong towards 100. Concerning government, Leviathan does what it pleases, whenever it pleases...

Vitamin D-3 supplements. I, my wife and three kids, and numerous neighbors have been taking those for years. My immediate family for 9 years.None of us gets the shots. None of us has got flu or colds since we started on the D-3, none at all.Wife is a primary school teacher. She used to bring home bugs three or four times every year even with the annual flu shots. I would get it once or twice from her. Now I take 10,000 mcg of the stuff daily and am flu free. Others in the group take 5k or even 20k. It is a sunshine thing which is why it is associated with the winter months. This past summer I did without because for the first time in 10 years I don't work at night so I get sunshine on my body. When it gets cold and you wear more clothes and the sun is at a weaker angle you don't get your vitamin D and you get flu and colds and bird flu and whatever is going around.

The stuff is CHEAP at WalMart and even cheaper on line. It is a depression cure, too. One daughter and two other women I know were manic depressive, one actually diagnosed as "bi-polar." None of the three take their medications any more and they have not the mood swings any more.

I think you must mean mcg, yes? Mgs looks like milligrams which is a bit much.

I got my only one in the AF in 66 as a boot. Several days later I had the worst flu I have ever had. I’ve not taken one of those things since. Nowadays I and many others I have proselytized take the D-3 supps through the winter or me, when I work at night, all year. We do NOT get flu or any colds.

Don’t be “lucky.” Quit with the damned shots. Take 10,000 mcg of Vitamin D-3 supplements per day through the winter and get sunshine on your body daily in the summer. Get the gel caps at Wal Mart. They’re cheap. You will not get any virus, flu, cold again. They are little tiny gel footballs. You can take 50 at a time if you’ve a mind to.

For many years I didn't get a flu shot, and it seemed every year I caught a bad combination flu/cold. Especially after visiting the grandkids who always seemed to be sick around the holidays. It seemed a few days after a visit, I'd come down with something horrible.

So last fall I finally gave in and got a flu shot. I haven't been sick one day since then. This is after years of getting extremely sick with something at least once every damn year. I am now a believer.

suggests a bad lot number

I never heard of a "bad lot" of vitamin D-3. It is much more effective than any flu shots, like 100%, at least among the couple dozen people I have got started on it. This year I gave bottles of it to some of the widows at church. I decided to do that when I heard an 80 year old lady complaining about the shot making her really sore and then getting flu anyway.

Why would you have a 9 year old get a flu shot?

I and about 20 others in the office got our flu shots a couple weeks back. No complaints from anyone.

Sooner or later, someone will have a reaction to just about anything. I’d rather take my chances with the shot than a flu - been there, done that. If a shot reduces the risk of catching some variant of flu by even 50%, it is worth the effort.

Thanks for the advise.

I’ll skip Walmart though—haven’t been there in years but Walgreens or CVS should have them.

Flu Shot?? AHHHH...no thanks

I have gotten a flu shot every year since 1968. We were required to get it when I was in the USAF for 20 years. I just kept on getting it, after I retired.

BE SURE YOUR MOM HAS THE REGULAR FLU SHOT AND NOT THE SUPER ONE THAT THEY ARE GIVING SENIORS AND THOSE AT RISK. THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO KILL, sure will make you sick.
