Facebook group for NYU White Student Union horrifies social media users

White power might be coming to NYU.
A Facebook group for the “NYU White Student Union†is calling for unity among the largest ethnic group at the city’s largest private college — and apparently freaking out a lot of people.
The group started Friday, in the midst of several similar supposed student groups springing up at colleges nationwide.

Since then, it has accumulated about 250 followers on Facebook, and probably many more horrified reactions online.
“I hope this is a joke,†one user wrote on the Facebook page.

They’ve posted that death threats have been received from the keyboard-warrior-in-Mommy’s-basement crowd.
How about instead of a White Student Union, they create a group for those who are not allowed into all the other ethnic student unions? Call it the “Not an Ethnic Minority Student Union”. Or, if that doesn’t work because in many of these cities whites are a minority, call it the Oppressor Student Union.
If the university tries to ban such a group, or denies them use of facilities, etc, that is a violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
Call it the “White Patriarchy Union”, then you can piss off them feminists and the race hustlers!
Do you really know why whites don't go around saying "I'm proud to be white?" They don't NEED to. That whole thing is just a defense mechanism, a cover-up for an inferiority complex. I hate to say it, but it's true.
