One night with Venus, a lifetime with Mercury. The spike in syphilis and other STDs is being driven by gay men and their decadent sexual practices.

And we know that the majority heterosexual population now lives an exemlpary life confining their sex to marriage. Here on this conservative site we think it cute to discus whether a certain party would “hit it”. And the fact that I will catch hell for saying that tells you where we are as a society. We are totally sex saturated.

I thought it interesting that the article begins with an Ulrich von Hutten quote, but there was no mention of von Hutten himself having contracted the disease.
(If it was mentioned and I somehow missed it, I apologize.)

Sort of reminds me of a scene from an old western where the patient goes beserk when the doc shoves a heated copper wire down his semen nozzle.
Says the doc, "You caught it same old way, we cure it same old way."
Don't remember the name of the movie, but can't forget the line.

But all of this is endorsed by the American people; would they dare repent?

Syphilis had become relatively rare in developed countries since the discovery of penicillin, though it continues to plague many parts of the global South. Naomi here inadvertently touches on where the disease is now coming from...but just can't bring herself to say it---through illegal immigration, just like TB and other previously stamped out bacterial diseases and viruses.
