Almost any innocent occupant of that seat would look dazed and scared a bit, probably, ha! He’s really a handsome bird. I’m sure he has a good home in nature nearby there. Or some local resident may volunteer to provide him one? I obviously dont know anything about owls but ...

Many, many years ago I worked as a security guard at a manufacturing facility. I would make my rounds keying a machine so the company had proof a guard was making fire safety rounds all night. I was unarmed and carried only that machine, and wore a helmet which had a bright, shiney medal just above the visor.

There was one stretch of my rounds that was on the second floor of the facility. It consisted of walking along a metal catwalk outside the building between two doors. There was an owl that would always attack my helmet while I was crossing that catwalk, so I tended to run between the doors. More than once he, or she, would strike the back of my helmet. I never got up the courage to try walking back the other way; I was afraid of losing an eye.

Did you know that birds have brought down more Israeli military aircraft then in all the wars that the Israeli have fought in combined Together? Apparently Israel is in a migratory pattern for birds.

When officers later opened the door of the police car, the owl flew off into the darkness.

We have a soft spot for Owls down here.

In 1976 while guarding an ammo point at Wildflecken, West Germany, I was walking the perimeter with another soldier who was on the opposite side of the ammo point. Shortly after midnight, I was struck on the head from behind, my helmet liner knocked from my head, and I was driven to my knees by the force of the blow.

At first, I thought we were under assault by somebody trying to break into the ammo point, but there was no one around. Standing up, I picked up my helmet liner to replace it and saw that there were three large, deep scratches in the helmet liner. Upon looking around the area further, I spotted a very large owl perched on one of the spotlight towers. My only assumption was that this owl had thought it had seen something edible in the shine of my helmet liner and had made a swipe at it.

Although I spotted the owl .. or one similar .. on several occasions later, it never hit at me again, probably determining that I was inedible.

Great! Owl knows best what kind of home he likes.

Wow!! Fascinating. You’re lucky. Only thing a bird’s done to me is poop on my new jacket when I was feeding them grain bread they like

I remember doing guard duty on Okinawa. The fruit bats used to dive at us quite frequently. I don't know why. We just ignored them.None of them ever made any contact with anyone that I know of.

I watched it on a documentary years ago. The documentary was about migrating birds.
