I purchased an Amazon Echo for my wife for Christmas, so she's been researching the various quirky things the echo can do. One of the things she discovered is that Alexa (one of the two naming options for the Echo) will tell republican and democrat jokes. I decided to check it out.
ME: Alexa, tell me a republican joke.
ALEXA: How many Republicans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
One. But millions will volunteer to get rid of anything dark.

What does it say when you ask it to tell a Democratic joke?
My daughter and family have Echo. They are always saying “Alexa shut up”. It responds to the 2 year old’s constant chatter. Can be very useful for handicapped individuals.

We can expect nothing less from Amazon. And I say that as a long-time member of Amazon prime (for purely economic reasons). I just wish that Bezos and crew would stay out of politics where they advocate positions that are disastrous and stick to business, where they actually are competent.
Well, it’s not unexpected given their headquarters is out here in liberal Seattle.
I love this place, but I wish the leftists would all just sod off.

I just asked how many democrats it took to screw in a lightbulb. She said “none. Hoping it would change was quite enough”.
They are all light bulb jokes. One of the democrat ones was pretty good: how many democrats does it take to screw in a light bulb? None—it’s much easier to simply ban them. The other one I heard was lame something alone the lines of one to screw in the lightbulb, 6 to talk about how wonderful it’s going to be and 100 to push for solar power.
Alexa, tell me a Democrat joke.

Can people stop intentionally seeking something to be offended over? Also worth noting that if you want jokes that makes old Bazuka gum wrappers look like the height of intellectual humor, ask Alexa to tell you a joke.
How do they get in there?
