The child's screams went on for a full 30 minutes from inside the Canton, Ohio, apartment before neighbors called 911 and police arrived on-scene late last week.
They discovered that the distraught, 20-month-old boy wasn't simply left home alone. He was stuck in a toilet inside the empty apartment, WPXI in Pittsburgh is reporting.
Eventually, police did catch up with the boy's parents.
It turns out that the boy's mother, identified as 20-year-old Justice Chance, was shopping at Wal-Mart, according to the news account first reported by Fox 8 in Ohio.
Police were still at the apartment when the mother arrived two hours later, carrying Wal-Mart bags.
She reportedly told police that a sister was supposed to be babysitting. However, police said the mother couldn't remember her sister's last name, according to media accounts.
Both she and the boy's father, 20-year-old Rashaan Cuffee, who also was eventually found, were charged with child endangerment and marijuana cultivation, this for three marijuana plants allegedly found in the apartment.
The boy was apparently uninjured and turned over to child services. It remains unknown exactly how he became stuck in the toilet.

Man, some folks have some weird ideas about how to use bathroom fixtures...what’s that girl with the green lipstick who eats her cereal while bathing in it in her bathtub?
Rashaan may have done too much of whatever tainted drugs he’s on.
This poor “golden ticket welfare bastard” has no chance; this breeding for bennies only (no love or affection) is rampant, and to me goes a long way in explaining the homicidal rage of “yutes”.
Sometimes that Rashaan looks right at ya. Right into your eyes. And the thing about Rashaan is he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes......

How the *ell does someone get stuck in a toilet? It would take a very, very, fat kid to be stuck. How would that work?
So they dropped junior off at the pool before they went shopping?

That poor child. And, of course, the Social Services people will be trying to re-unite him with his parents as soon as possible. They will give them a few counseling sessions and then pronounce them fit parents.
