Looks like it's official, at least for now. There will be no empty podium left for The Donald tomorrow night:
"DAILY MAIL - No trace of Donald Trump will be left at Thursday night's debate as a Fox News spokesperson confirmed that an empty podium would not be left on stage for the boycotting billionaire. Trump, over issues he had with Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly, declared last night that he would not be attending the GOP debate taking place in Des Moines, just days before the Iowa caucuses. Instead, he'll hold a fundraiser across town for veterans and wounded warriors, which means rival Ted Cruz will get moved to the podium that is front and center.
In other words, if Trump doesn't change his mind soon, he won't just be able to walk on stage at the last minute.

Very few conservatives/Republicans/Independents will be watching.
“Teddy Bear” Cruz will feel right at home with Megyn Kelly and Michael Moore. Maybe Glenn Beck will also be in the audience.
THIS may be the most influential debate of the election
Well that is that then. Because no one is going to tune into Fox. It’s not where the action is. Rupert can thank Megyn Kelly for that once those ratings stream in.
No one’s going to watch it anyway, so who cares?

I think Cruz will do well in The Debate For Second Place.

This is just crazy. Take a step back and just look at this situation. It’s just crazy. Witnessing history, could be the beginning, could be the end. But this will be a pivotal moment in the turning upside down of American politics as we know it. All bets are off. No matter which way it goes.
I would have enjoyed watching Donald get crushed by Cruz in person, but this will work OK.

Good. People will be able to hear reasoned debate and a clear thinking conservative. The screamer can hire a circus and hand out bread if he wishes.
Ted Cruz will get the crabs in the bucket treatment from his opponents. Donald Trump is not in the bucket.
Yeah, the other 5 times he’s had his chance, Trump and Rubio took his lunch money. The best answer for Ted ‘Debate Champion’ Cruz is to debate someone who isn’t even on the stage. Maybe he’ll actually score a point or two that way.
Ted is on the wrong side, again.
