Mothers spend their lives making their children kick off dirty shoes before the entering the house.
But now one enterprising woman has gone one better and trained her dogs to stop them traipsing mud everywhere.
In the brilliant footage filmed in Thailand, the lady is seen waiting at the front door where her four golden retrievers wait patiently in an orderly queue before they are cleaned and allowed into the house.

Thanks. Rescued dogs. The little one on the left in the top picture is nursing eight puppies presently. The ones in the bottom picture are old and have passed on.
Mannered dog ping in case you have not been alerted yet.
Ahhh...old and new crews! Condolences on the old crew.
Do you know who that dirty scoundrel is that knocked her up?! ;)
Great on the rescues/adoptions.
I love your crew! We have 4 pups as well!
Not sure why this is a big deal. My golden opens and closes doors, comes in the house and waits on the rug so I can clean him up before he moves around the house. He waits for me to tell him to eat. If I need something which I have trained him for, he will go get it.
The only thing I had a problem with was getting me a beer from the fridge. He could open the fridge, get the beer, problem was everything else in the fridge was fair game. One day I went out and I forgot to take the sock off the fridge door. While I was gone he helped himself to the cold cuts and a piece of chocolate cake. That wasn’t pretty.
In other words, typical well trained golden retriever.
My sister and I had a few German Shepherds between us. I female, she male. My experience is the girls tend to be neater, better coordinated generally. The boys she had were lumbering slobbering careless bulls in a china shop. Lovable, but walking messes.
When we lived in Washington State where it rains much of the time, my Golden would come in with muddy feet from romping in the woods. I’d catch her at the door with a towel so that I could towel dry her fur and wipe off her feet. She would patiently give me one paw at a time while I counted 1, 2, 3...
I could never get her to 4, however. She’d try to bolt for the living room before I got that 4th paw wiped every time!
Funny story. :)
Now I’ve seen everything. Is that a shiba inu? (spelling)
It’s not fair that that Thai man has 12 Goldens and I have none! I sure miss my dogs.
Lol...don’t go doing Golden Retriever envy like the liberals do class envy. ;)
There is no good reason for class envy, but there is EVERY good reason for Golden envy. They are just the best dogs in the world. Their only fault is dying before their owners. I don’t even mind the shedding. It’s the dying that hurts. I can’t imagine that lady with 4. She must be cleaning all the time!
:) Hope you can have one (or ten) again in the future.
Closest my dad had was a yellow lab mix. Shed ALL the time. He was the cutest thing as a pup. He died way too soon. Poor Sam. He was my dad’s pal.
So cute.
I love dogs. :)
