Vote Cruz
Hey, I just voted anyway....SO THERE!
Tomorrow is the first voting, and we will all be watching far more closely that the general public.
We’ve all taken sides in here, but the primaries will be over soon. Please vote your conscience in the primaries and with whomever wins our nomination in the general.
I know I’m one of the “Trumpanzees” in here, but will gladly vote for Cruz should he become our party’s nominee.
I challenge any of the Cruz supporters to do the same should Trump win the nomination, and I know many of you will.
If Rubio somehow is installed as the nominee I think we all need to figure out the future together, as having someone forced on us by the PTB isn’t going to fly this time.
I am interested on seeing how the voter shaming letters affect the caucus.
Let the games begin!
Just a reminder...
By Ted Cruz
John Roberts should be a quick confirm.
In 1995, while clerking for Chief Justice William Rehnquist, I and my two fellow law clerks asked the chief whom he thought was the best Supreme Court lawyer currently practicing. The chief replied, with a twinkle in his eye, that he thought he could probably get a majority of his colleagues to agree that John Roberts was the best Supreme Court advocate in the nation. This week, the president announced his intention to nominate John Roberts to be a Supreme Court justice.

In November of 2000, I had spent the past year and half as domestic-policy adviser on the Bush campaign, and was part of the team assembling the lawyers to help litigate Bush v. Gore. We needed the very best lawyers in the country, and I called John and asked him to help. Within hours, he was on a plane to Florida.

As an individual, John Roberts is undoubtedly a principled conservative, as is the president who appointed him. He clerked for Chief Justice Rehnquist, worked in the Reagan White House, and served as the principal deputy solicitor general in President George H.W. Bushââ¬â¢s Justice Department. But, as a jurist, Judge Robertsââ¬â¢s approach will be that of his entire career: carefully, faithfully applying the Constitution and legal precedent.

Honestly. Did ANYONE see JR’S 180 degree turn? Did YOU?
Sometimes you have faith in people and they let you down.
lets just hope its not a three way tie tonight!
Must be nice knowing the perfect candidate.
No kidding. I don't think I could go into next week with the pressure still as high as it's been these last couple of months.
I really feel that it will be good for the whole country's mental health if someone emerges as a clear winner tomorrow.
Ornery ole cuss, ain’t ya?
Vote Trump.
Holy crap. Nice find....
Let the shames begin!
I've seen a few freeps volunteer that they're switching to Trump because of that. I guess some folks need a lot more weight of disappointment to switch than I did. TPA and the Corker vote did it for me.
As someone who voted for Ted Cruz in the primary, the run-off, and the general election in Texas, I totally understand that.
I’m not saying Trump is the perfect candidate but Ted Cruz was instrumental in helping John Roberts attain that seat on the SCOTUS.
True, past performance doesn’t guarantee the future, but I’m tired of hearing one of the main reasons for voting Cruz is the appointment of the next several SCOTUS appointments.
He’s already 0-1.
Just a reminder.....
From 2012:
John Roberts is No Longer Appearing on Conservative Merit Badges

It says seven years ago in this article written in 2012
That is a tremendous amount of time for things to change... Roberts either has been corrupted, bribed, or blackmailed. Regardless. I think it is fair to say he hasn’t lived up to what Cruz thought of him.
Seven years ago, during the confirmation hearings for John Roberts, Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz penned a gushing op-ed for National Review.
-snip-
Not anymore. When Roberts helped save “Obamacare,” Cruz immediately blasted the Court for having “abdicated its responsibility to safeguard the Constitution.” He didn’t mention Roberts by name, but he insisted that the decision was more proof that Republicans needed to reject Cruz’s opponent, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. “My opponent is, by nature and by over a decade of political office, a conciliator. Now is not a time for conciliation.”
No, there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate, but it's a fact that some are better than others. The primary process is supposed to help us sort that out. Who we wind up with at the end, should be the best of the lot, though even that is no guarantee.
About all we can do is vet these people to the best of our individual/collective ability, then trust that we've made the best decision possible, given the data available and the personalities involved.
Best of luck to us.
Not sure if joking, or really trying to vote...
