Bull$hit masquerading as a scientific study. If the conclusion had been different we would not be hearing about it.
They are probably just trying to tempt tech firms to hire more women - despite the fact that most have no interest in that work (or the hours involved).
I see a backlash today in younger women where they are determined to work as little as possible; they look at middle-aged women and view their lives (or lack thereof) as pathetic. While young guys might want to live in their parents’ basements, plenty of young women want to live in clubs.

The (typically Female) Archeeeetectural ladder climbers know all the latest additions to the IT Newspeak Dictionary - but are otherwise inept.
And the Peter Principled managers above them have no clue.
