Likely success? We have a decades-long precedent for not confirming a new Supreme Court justice nominated in a presidential election year. We have GOP control of the Senate. We have Mitch McConnell to protect freedom. What could go wrong?

Scalia's death is the greatest tragedy in our country since the last two presidential elections.
McConnell would have to remove Grassley as Judiciary chair to get a Obama nominee vote. I don’t think McConnell is up to it.
I only hope that Ginsburg holds on until after the election. Then if a republican gets in we could rebalance the court. Of course by then it may be too late for some of the decisions they are making now.
