I was just wondering what he was waiting for?
He knows that if he files a suit against Cruz, that Cruz can put him under the microscope with discovery. Trump is a flim flam man. He has no intention of suing Cruz. He just makes noises and pretends to be a tough guy and pretends to be a conservative. He is an empty $5000 suit.
That is a good one! Surprisingly however you are probably close to the truth. Trump will sue over Cruz’s eligibility if it is advantageous to him. The timing and the location would be very important as well. It will be fun to hear the reaction hear if it actually happens.

Trump is bad because he goes to court.
Cruz is awesome because he goes to court.
The difference being, Trump went to court to uphold his business.
Cruz went to court to collect a tax-payer funded paycheck.
If Cruz really believed in all the things he spouted, he’d be doing his job for free, on his own dime.
TRUMP is the only real anti-establishment choice.
He knows it hurts him, and he doesn’t need to.
Others are challenging Cruz in court already,
and he no longer feels threatened by Cruz’s vote count.
Trump isn’t stupid.

And how would ANY facts about Donald Trump pertain to Cruz’s natural born citizenship status?
I’ve always thought it as tactic. If he could achieve the effect of sueing without sueing, why not?

I think it’s another way for him to intimidate people. I’ve read articles about his law suits and how frivolous most of them are. As a super rich guy, it’s a threat he’s accustomed to using to intimidate ordinary Americans.
Sports fans will easily understand those kind of tactics. For example, in boxing, boxers use various kinds of "feints" to trick their opponents, as their opponents try to guess what kind of punch is coming from them, and where their next punch will be aimed at. You still don’t get Trump, do you? That’s alright, neither do Cruz, or the rest of the junior flip kids, who think they can beat him at his level of game.
He never intended to. It would make him look like a fool.
It’s telling that so many people have to remind us that “Trump isn’t stupid.” Why do you suppose this comment is so often made? I believe it is because if he’s not stupid, the evidence is not clear to all who observe him. So it’s a counter intuitive conclusion. Most people hear the wild accusations, the inane bombast, the gratuitous insults, the vehement and contradictory statements (often contradicting himself), and conclude he’s stupid. Then, helpfully, a Trump supporter explains that we should all realize that Trump is not stupid. Thanks, it’s very reassuring to know that he’s not stupid.
I dont think there’s a chance in heck he’ll spend half a billion of his own money in the general.

He should say he is accepting donations for under a certain amount and he could raise a fortune.

Trump has 169 Federal suits going right now. He is famous for using his money in the court system for revenge against any and all. Like a 70 year old woman having to borrow money to defend her house from being taken from her by Trumps Laywer army.
If you that Trump only goes to court to uphold his business, you must believe it is his business to be spoiled rich kid bulley.
