Help me understand: Why do YOU support Donald Trump?
Self

Posted on 02/27/2016 10:57:00 AM PST by sampai

As far as I can tell, Donald Trump is an unprincipled vulgarian. He would make a big show of deporting illegal aliens, only to "let the good ones back in." He supports single-payer healthcare. Before he flipped on the issue, he wanted to admit tens of thousands of Syrian "refugees." He has very un-American strongman tendencies.

Yet he's leading in the Republican primaries. So please help me understand: How would President Trump be better than, say, President Cruz?

Well, your first sentence is primarily why I don’t support him either.

By "the good ones" he means the ones who work for him.

This pretty much sums up why I am considering a ship-jump.

America’s borders and industrial base. The establishment GOP’s immigration policies will turn all of the US into California. You want that?

Interviewer: “Why are you voting for Donald Trump?”

Trump Supporter: “Because he can make America great again!”

Interviewer: “Can you elaborate?”

Trump Supporter: “You’re a liar!”

Interviewer: “What do you think about his healthcare plan?”

Trump Supporter: “He’s going to build a wall!”

Interviewer: “Do you believe Trump can beat Hillary Clinton?”

Trump Supporter: “Hispanics love him. Believe me... believe me... they DO!”

Cruz throwing in with Rubio just shows he's not serious about his positions and will do NOTHING on immigration. Ted Cruz is out for Ted Cruz. He's just another lifetime politician who talks a good game and will stab you in the back if elected.

He signed the Corker bill, he supported Justice Roberts, he flip-flopped on immigration on at least 2 occasions, he flipped on TPP, he has disgusting people around him in his campaign (Glenn Beck, Jeff Roe) and he's a bit of a religious nut job.

Need more?

“Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs. We graduate two times more Americans with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program. More than half of H-1B visas are issued for the program’s lowest allowable wage level, and more than eighty percent for its bottom two. Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant workers in the U.S., instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas.”

Enough said. Vote Trump!

You have to consider the premise of this election. 2016 is make or break for the United States. This time, for real. After this the demographics shift to a permanent democrat majority. Because of this overriding factor the candidate who expresses nationalism and populism is the one who rises and the candidate who espouses conservative principles does not.

In a sentence, you need to have a country before you can have conservatism.

Trump is a natural born citizen.

Cruz and Rubio are not.

You realize he has been a supporter of amnesty for 25 years, and donated millions of dollars to pro amnesty Democrats… Right?

The idea of a wall sounds incredibly great, until you realize it will mean nothing if he mints 20 million new Democrat voters.

You say “He has very un-American strongman tendencies.”

Do strong men make you scared? Offended? Would you want Americans to not be strong?

Vulgarian? So since he isn’t politically correct he’s vulgar?

Your reasons for not voting for Trump make me imagine you as a little wimpy nerd wearing a peace sign shirt waving flowers.

He advocates the strongest anti Islam position, banning Muslim immigration is a must.

Building a wall to secure the border
Less gun control
