I kinda agree with you, S.Hound. The idea sounds looovely, but would neuter FreeRepublic.
First Amendment is a good thing — everywhere. I’m good with criticizing the candidates. Traditionally, putting themselves in that position invites and demands dialogue. We’re expected to argue the politics of a candidate.
But the personal name calling amongst FReepers is not pretty. I’ve seen, “You’re and idiot... imbecile... POS... asshole.” That isn’t necessary. All of us love America.
