Why Your Top 10 Reasons For Not Having Kids Are Stupid
thefederalist.com ^ | March 15, 2016 | Gavin McInnes

You know that commercial where the guy goes, “I am never getting married,” then he says he’ll never have kids or move to the suburbs? Most of us suburban dads are embarrassed by how perfectly that imitates our lives.

I was so adamant about not having kids as a young man, I tried to get my tubes tied at the tender age of 21. Now that I have three, my only regret is waiting so long. I wish I could have had five. You’ll hear a lot of parents lament that they had too few or didn’t have a boy or had all boys, but you’ll never hear them say, “I wish I hadn’t had a kid.” Whenever I see couples without kids, I plead with them to change their ways because, almost without exception, the ones who refuse to breed are the ones who would make the best parents. Here are the same ten excuses they always make and why they’re wrong. 1. Ew, Diapers? Gross

Do you wipe your own ass? This is the same thing, only much smaller. You’ll be surprised how un-gross changing diapers is. I knew our third would be our last, and each diaper change was getting closer to the last I would ever do. I coveted each chocolate-covered nutsack like I was the White House pastry chef, and when the last diaper went into the trash, I cried like a baby.

Ditto, it is truly tragic sometimes, to meet women who have begun to try too late, and will fail to conceive, most of them.
This is all a matter of fashion. Its a strange and infuriating thing to see families end, childless, grandchildren-less, because of some toxic fashion.
Words really can kill.
This is like reducing human populations through a form of culturally-induced human pest control.

“You’ll be surprised how un-gross changing diapers is.”

I would love to have another child, and would change diapers every day happily if this were to happen. There is no greater blessing or privilege than to be a parent.

After raising a daughter and two stepsons and then going through a divorce I suffered strongly from “empty nest syndrome”. Then after several years I remarried and now I have two more wonderful kids.

I couldn’t be happier!

Who cares?

the men and women NOT having kids are breeding themselves out of Darwin’s pool. Quickly. One generation of highly-educated, metrosexual, homosexual liberals at a time. 8<)

(Except the government-bred welfare queens....)

Diapers??? really?? People use that as an excuse??

My wife and I got married later in life after glorious single lives but I could not imagine diapers being a reason for avoidance. Costs don’t seem realistic either. The first world is awash in cheap childrens clothes, toys, etc. The real investment is time - which I am happy to make.

Had I known how wonderful children were I wish I had started earlier. I would have had 10 or more by now.

You know me and what I post on a daily basis. I have read every reason under the sun why they have an abortion.

Yes diapers ranks up there as a big reason. Never thought to use cloth which are cheaper, but they still complain of the smell and ick factor.

I have enough inheritable minor health problems that have stumped a few great medical minds and have been no joy at all. The chance that a kid might inherit any of them makes having one just unthinkable to me. Yes it is a judgement call.

My wife has no desire to have children. Being uncle and aunt are OK with us are OK.

There are plenty of people who have no business having kids or even pets. Why should people be shamed into having kids if they are not suited for it?

That’s a woman thing as far as I know.

I understand and agree. It was not for me. It still isn’t.
I inherited three great kids. They are all self-sufficient adults. One a former Marine.

I Never changed a daiper and don’t regret it. Maybe with grandkids...

I do know you (from here) and what you post on a daily basis - and may God bless you for it! Thank you for your postings!

I recall a stewardess telling me I couldn’t change a diaper on a plane seat due to ‘biohazard’ reasons. Clearly she had no clue. I just laughed at her.

I don’t understand conservatives who claim they don’t want children because of current trends in the USA. They capitulate to minor temporal events in one particular country with a decent constitution. Their ancestors presumably survived far worse over the past thousands of years and it ends with them. Sad.

My advice, when you have to do this with grandkids, is to do it before they begin eating solid food. Take my word for it, it is much more pleasant at that stage..
