The liberal media uses history like they do the bible...they only embrace it when they can bend it to make their point.
Now he’s picking on Laura, lol! And Rush is certainly not in Trump’s pocket.
With all due respect to President Adams, the “avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness” of the GOPe ain’t doing much for the country right now!
What would either of them thought of the leviathan of Washington, DC??? Trump is the natural reaction to the corruption and sclerotic nature of the richest area in the country.
I will say this much for this group and Red State (Erickson), they are persistent.
That would be Obama in 2008, and he lived up to name!
Once again all I have to see is “National Review” (National Disgrace) and I know what follows is bull$hit. So I have no need to read their drivel. Besides outhouse toilet paper, it has no purpose.
Williamson confuses respect for due process and the law with the unbridled power of the elite to decide policy without answering to the people.
The latter must be rejected as firmly as the unbridled passions of the mob. If a republic is not a democracy than neither is it an aristocracy of the rich and powerful few to whom the political class feels obliged to cater.
That’s proving his point. Are we about to do the same? It’s a horrific choice that we are being offered this year.
“Trump or Hillary will produce many of the same results”
That is on the same level of stupidity as any liberal.
Pretty much.
National Review will be around nipping at Trump even after he gets elected. Get used to it. National Review seems to be well funded by various wealthy people and corporations. I never see them begging for money and they have an extensive website with plenty of new material each day. I am sure their writers get decent pay.
Anyone know their financial status?
What would either of them thought of the leviathan of Washington, DC??? Trump is the natural reaction to the corruption and sclerotic nature of the richest area in the country.
Amen.
No that was Andrew Jackson. Trump is just trying to save the country.
Interpreting the prominent participation of immigrants in the Republican opposition party as evidence of a relationship between foreigners and disloyalty, Federalists championed tighter restrictions for foreigners and critics of their policies. The Naturalization Act of 1798 increased the residency requirement for American citizenship from five to fourteen years, required aliens to declare their intent to acquire citizenship five years before it could be granted, and made persons from 'enemy' nations ineligible for naturalization. The act consequently deprived Republicans of an important source of political support. Aliens were specifically affected by two other acts, which authorized their deportation if they were deemed 'dangerous to the peace and safety of the United States' and their wholesale incarceration or expulsion by presidential executive order during wartime. Under the Sedition Act, even the rights of American citizens were curtailed by prohibiting assembly 'with intent to oppose any measure ... of the government' and made it illegal for any person to 'print, utter, or publish any false, scandalous, and malicious writing' against the government. Armed with these statutes, Federalists attempted to suppress Republican opposition on the basis of ideological differences -- most successfully prosecuting newspaperman Thomas Cooper and Republican congressman Matthew Lyon. These controversies provoked the first probing of the constitutional limits on free speech, the press, and the rights of an organized political opposition. When Thomas Jefferson became president, enforcement of the Alien and Sedition Acts ended. The sedition and incarceration provisions of the acts, however, were resurrected during later wars.
Your reply is evidence of my convictions.
Snotty Adams was appointed President by fat cats in Congress and was driven from office by Jackson !
Poor Buckley legacy had been destroyed.
Doubling down on stupid, just like a typical liberal.
