It's been busy around our place today. My dad came over to help a bit which is always a treat. We started a Mary flower garden for my ten year old. She has only wanted one for two years now. I tore down the small old chicken run to make room for the much larger run that has to go up soon for the 20 chicks in my garage. And with the generous donation of free old wood from my brother, my husband has been throwing garden boxes together for me so I can have some boundaries for lettuce/spinach and a few other plants that I don't want to spread all over the garden. Will help keep weeds at bay, too, after I fill in the walkways with hay. I'm so happy to not be pregnant/have a newborn this planting season! Oh! We also have a rabbitry going up. My daughter is breeding her angora rabbits to build up her fiber/yarn stash.

Nice looking garden areas. I wish I could get my grand daughter interested in gardening. She is now 13 and has resisted all my best efforts for several years.
