I've had mine for almost a year, and my girlfriend has had hears for slightly longer as hers came before mine although I bought both the same minute they became available for pre-order.

We both find them quite useful and almost indispensable, me more than my girlfriend. She will occasionally prefer to wear a bling filled diamond watch with something extra-fancy when we go out, but most of the time she wears her Apple Watch as do I, because of the features it offers that all other watches just cannot match.

The primary advantage is its ability to alert its user about whether a phone call of message is of importance or can be safely ignored to be handled later or not be handled at all. My girlfriend, who like many women, carries her iPhone buried in a cavernous purse, under makeup, wallet, hairbrush, car and housekeys and assorted other miscellaneous items that women cannot leave home without. When the iPhone rings, by the time she's found it, the moment, shall we say, has usually passed. With the Apple Watch, she can see who is calling and even answer if absolutely necessary without digging for gold in the mine pit of her purse. Messages and alerts are a momentary glance instead of a expedition to the bottom of the stope, only to find it was nothing she needed to worry about.

The other thing is my girlfriend is recovering from an episode with her heart in December and is having to do cardiac rehab. The Apple Watch is a godsend for exercise information and pulse information during cardio exercising. It automatically knows when she starts and stops exercising and keeps track.

It keeps track of walking, standing, sitting, etc. all automatically.

I use mine for sending messages, dictating to Siri and find her quite accurate. Alerts are also good when I am in meetings and I can just glance at my wrist to see if it is anything important or not. I've found it useful for a colleague to send my updates right in the middle of a meeting when something critical to the meeting occurs.

The batteries on our watches last easily all day, and sometimes two days. I usually put my watch on a sideways charge stand next to my bed at night where it becomes an easily reached night clock, showing the time in large green glowing letters at a touch. One hour on charge will fully charge them.

Thank you. The reasons you stated are the exact reason I need it. I go to an inordinate amount of meetings and feel awkward having my phone in my hand like everyone does these days.
