GREENSBORO, N.C. Remember when tickets for Bruce Springsteen's latest tour went on sale in December, and all tri-state area dates were sold out within minutes?
North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory claims that was not the case for The Boss's scheduled Greensboro concert the April 10 gig he canceled in opposition to HB2 or the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act.
McCrory implied on the John Boy and Billy Big radio show Tuesday that Springsteen actually nixed the show not in support of transgender and progressive ideals, but in protection of his own ego McCrory said only 8,000 tickets had been sold two days before he was scheduled to play Greensboro Coliseum, which would have held about 16,000 for the show, Politifact reports.

Well, despite the springstien bunch refusing to provide a service for compensation because they collectively don’t agree with someone’s position/stance/beliefs(where have we heard that before?), I’m pretty certain NC is better off having this no talent hack back out. After all, his initials are like the #2 guy running for the dem nomination-—BS!
That makes sense, haven’t liked him for decades. I wouldn’t look up to catch a glimpse of him if he was across the street from me, let alone pay money to see him.
Or you could have a baby at the age of 50 a la Janet Jackson and her billionaire Muzzie husband.
When he cancelled, Mrs. WBill - who is far more plugged into pop culture than I am - said, "Springsteen is coming to Greensboro? Who knew?"
Tick Tock, Bruce. 14:55 and counting.
I was kinda wondering if he was still performing....I mean, he’s yesterday....
If it was a poorly under-sold show then it was the first one in the country because I believe he’s sold out every other venue. I know he sold out the Sprint Center when he was here, and tickets were going for a fortune on the resale sites.
Also good to see the “Trump Effect” take hold - people on our side are now fighting back instead of apologizing.
I am surprised he even has a following (even though small) outside of New Jersey
Good for the Governor. Springsteen is a has-been.
He, like most entertainers, is a big time hypocrite.
You are right - Springsteen tickets sell out EVERYWHERE in a matter of two or three minutes. Have for years.
I don’t believe this story.
Don’t venues typically assume the economic risk?
IOW Brucie gets paid a set amount to appear and the promoter has the variable of attendance?
He was pretty big back in the day, but it's not 1980 anymore. These days, he's little more than a glorified oldies act.
Exactly....
The primary character trait of liberals.
Springsteen sucks and always has. His music is atrocious.
Good job. I knew I could count on you to provide the most favorable post to commie-loving, Bruce Springsteen.
Could not have happened to a more deserving waste of skin.
Transgender rights sounds more “significant” and less demeaning to himself.
