Duck Dynasty Patriarch Phil Robertson Joins Son – ‘Enthusiastically’ Endorses Donald Trump

‘Duck Dynasty’ patriarch Phil Robertson will support Donald Trump in the fall despite endorsing his rival Ted Cruz four months ago, he said Monday.

The reality TV star told DailyMail.com that ‘I’ll be enthusiastically behind him.’

‘Wow! Such a great honor to have Phil’s endorsement,’ the Republican front-runner responded Tuesday.

‘His son, Willie, has become a great friend of my son, Don. What a great family.’

Robertson’s son Willie, now the CEO of Phil’s ‘Duck Commander’ company, crossed his father in January to endorse Trump early on in the Republican primary process.

Willie has appeared alongside the billionaire Republican front-runner at campaign events including one recent post-election rally at Trump Tower.

‘It could have been worse,’ Phil told Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity of his son’s choice at the time.

Good for Phil. Phil needs to tell Lyin Paul Ryan a thing, or two.

“Now if we could just get Rush.”

As soon as Rush figures a way to profit off Trump, he’ll get on board. So far the open border/bad trade cabal owns him.

As a listener since the 90s, I’m so very disappointed in him. He was terrible today. Trump is not perfect but he’s right on enough issues that I feel compelled to support him. I’ve been entranced by his mastery of communication and his boldness to go where no other politician dare go. This, of course, was what made him a brilliant success in New York City. That, plus his sense of humor, his mock-adulation of himself (so Rushlike!) and his take no prisoner style has made this primary season a pleasure to take part in!

I vote next month - I haven’t been this excited since I voted for Reagan in ‘84.

Along with what I suspect is the overwhelming majority of we Cruzers. Getting rid of Democrats in the White House is where the rubber meets the road.

Agreed............after taking a deep breath! Lol. It would be nice, and from listening to him over the years it would have been a Great Ride for him to be backing Trump. However like it, or not he has exposed himself for what he is. Greatly disappointed by it, and it will take time to find a new show to listen to. Laura Ingram has been good. Go TRUMP ☺

I'm surprised that even after all these years, people still don't seem really listen to or understand Rush. Rush has never been against Trump or Cruz or anybody else on the Republican side. His main concern is to defeat Democrats and Liberalism. Period. He would never pick or endorse a candidate before the convention, because he knows he can't predict the future nor can he change the Republican convention rules. He doesn't want to be like Levin or Beck. It doesn't matter to him if Republicans nominate "Daffy Duck," (his words not mine) so long as we defeat Democrats and Liberalism.

I imagine after all the dust settles after the convention, Rush will be on board no matter who the Republican nominee is.

A I’ve said for months, the time for internal battles and electoral purity is over. Trump won, get over it and get out and support his candidacy. America cannot afford 4-8 more years of liberal lunacy

“I’m so very disappointed in him. He was terrible today.”

I started listening to in the early 90s. When I lived in the Houston area, I could pick up his entire show because it came on at 4 pm. So I became accustomed to how he thought, etc.

I listened for about thirty minutes today. He was tedious with his constant repetition of Trump’s comments about Hillary; seemed unable to perceive it was only flattery because Trump has to contend with powerful democrats.

Limbaugh has always been logical. However, ever since Iowa, he has bent over backwards to be illogical and repulsive. Example: I noticed he kept saying, “You Trump supporters” as if separating himself from the one who has won. Is he dating Paul Ryan?
