The biggest factor causing stagnation? This misplaced fury to impose “controls” on some mythical construct called “anthropogenic climate change”.
Any effect humanity has on overall climate as it affects the entire planet falls into statistically insignificant numbers, and is perhaps almost entirely self-canceling - no net change either making things “warmer” or “colder”.
Figures don’t lie, but, man, liars can figure. And they do, by manipulating data and drawing totally illogical conclusions from the same data sets. Mathematical projections using incomplete or skewed data, plus assumptions based entirely on S.W.A.G. numbers, do not reflect reality,now or ever.
For those of you puzzled by the initials, Scientific Wild-A**ed Guess. Also known as the Finagle Factor, which is a highly variable constant, that, when applied to the data at hand, provides the answer that was being sought all the time.
