Those are valid points. I have only done streaming via my Win 8.1 PC which is gigabit wi-fi connected to my cable modem 50 feet away.

Plenty of links in that chain — not even counting the notorious TimeWarner Cable network — for my issues to crop up.

I would still prefer being able to schedule downloads to a DVR-type system so actual viewing time was not subject to such vagaries. Is Netflix streaming purely “streaming only” ?

No but I have used Netflix and Amazon streaming for several years now and rarely have issues. In fact if I do have issues either the streaming site is down or my Internet does not work at all and both are rare occurrences.

I'm sure there is a way to capture the stream and play it later - maybe the Movavi Video Editor. However, these are screen captures and if you are prone to buffering and such, all you will be doing is making a recording of the issues you are trying to avoid.

I do not believe there's a way you can actually download content from Netflix to play later. I believe you can only play and record it in real time. Maybe others have a way.

Yeah. Unfortunately Netflix is stream only. No download for later viewing. Maybe now that Charter is buying out Time Warner the connection will get better for you. I’m a Charter customer and don’t have any real complaints.

Sure, Netflix streams it’s content..but the great part is that you can watch ANYTHING at ANY TIME, when ever you have time to watch what you wish to see.. so; no worries about downloading anything to watch at a later time~ This is good news!
