Full Title: Major breakthrough as doctors REVERSE symptoms of a stroke: Patients to walk, talk and live a normal life after stem cell treatment - up to 3 YEARS later
The stem cells come from the bone marrow of donors...not fetal tissue, if I read this correctly.

Fantastic!
However, look for government regulators to severely limit the use of this, as it costs money. Don’t expect compassion or common sense from them.

Had to dig for the money quote, but here it is:
The new therapy uses stem cells called SB623 cells, extracted from the bone marrow of donors and then modified to make them suitable for insertion into the brain.
Adult, not embryonic stem cells.

This is good. Now, if they could only improve this to reprogram patient’s own stem cells, it would be even better.

Will only be available to Democrat voters and a few Republican elites under new Obama Care rule. Everyone else will still be given a pill and told to go home and die.

Hockey player Gordie Howe had this therapy about 2 years ago. His was confined to bed and near comatose. His son took him to Mexico for the treatment. Positive results almost immediately

I wonder if this procedure can help other maladies such as Parkinson, MS, mental illness, autism...

Could be a real Godsend....
My wife suffered a stroke last January and everything went perfect for her/us. Small bleed vs. clot and no muscular/nerve disorders. The area involved caused some trouble getting words/sentences from her mind to her lips but it cleared up over a 6 week period and she has no residual symptoms.
We have friends/acquaintances who have suffered more severe strokes and it is heartbreaking to see the struggle to resume some sense of normalcy.
