“Modern Apizza” in New Haven, CT was already ten years old before Chicago even making the stuff. I was a cook at a Chicago pizza place (Eduardo’s on 57th), and none of the “famous” Chicago places (Uno’s, Gino’s East, Connie’s, Home Run Inn, Giordano’s) hold a candle to the best of New Haven, New York or New Jersey.
The stuffed pizza is a feminist perversion, inverting the natural order of things with its sauce on the top and cheese on the bottom, with extra prophylactic dough in between.
If you are in Chicago and need a real Apizza, try Piece Pizza on North Avenue. It is a decent New Haven style pie.

I’m sorry we have to use the word vanity.
Posting from the biased media is seen as fine, but posting our conservative opinions is just “vanity.” But we are used to revering the media so that is how we still function.
There are many different kinds of “vanity” posts. Some bring us closer to our fellow humans, and some provide real help and support.
I received so many supportive posts to my thread while my cat was very sick and then died a week ago. It made that dark week bearable. I even donated double to FR in the memory of my kitty and for all the FReepers who were true friends to me at that time.
I’m grateful we aren’t just railing at mainstream media articles like an impotent, caged bear.
