You could be right about the “Trump corporate family support structure”, but I am wary of promoting more idiocy like CA’s CFRA and the federal FMLA...scheduling/cost nightmare for businesses.
What you are afraid of is the antithesis of what she was presenting. She in no way brought up the government in this at all. She was making the point it is the duty of our society to foster the individual responsibility to take care of our own, just like the company does in their case. It was actually a slam against government involvement.
That family is raised in a totally different mindset that all members of the company are a part of the extended family. They are so far away from any mindset that would have someone else do their work.
I think she was pushing for assistance with child care so that mothers could come back to work sooner and not have to drop out of the workforce.
