(Streets around Huntington Center packed for Republican nominee)
As Donald Trumps plane arrived in suburban Toledo for an evening rally, people were still waiting with a line two blocks long to get into the Huntington Center to see him.
Dan Roberts of Millbury was one of those who made it inside the arena in time. Thats because he waited in line since 7 a.m. today to see the GOP presidential nominee.
Mr. Trump was delayed past his scheduled 8 p.m. speech time in downtown Toledo today, with the speech beginning at 8:38 p.m.
His personal plane landed at Toledo Express Airport at 7:30 p.m. The plane he flew on is Trump Force One, which is the $100 million personalized Boeing 757 of Mr. Trump.
Mr. Roberts, 50, stood outside the Huntington Center from the early morning, even though he already had a ticket.
He said hes seen other Trump rallies where thousands of people stood in line for hours because of heavy demand. If he wasnt in line, Mr. Roberts said he would be working at Sun Oil. He held a Hilliary sign with liar in bold.

HOLY TOLEDO!
Holy Toledo, Batman.
Thanks for sharing. Amazing crowd!
That looks like a huge crowd.
The arena where the dems are has a capacity of 19,500. The net says that Huntington Center has a seating capacity of 8,000, it looks like at least another 2,000 standing. Was there a crowd outside as well?
There were quite a few people left outside is what I heard but I didn’t see them as I was inside. Apparently they had speakers put out there so they could hear what was going on inside.
OH that can’t be tru. After all every speaker in Philly said America is already great and Trump is a bad, bad man
Just wow
Did they give a crowd count?
Your pictures are terrific—thanks!
Hellary is a hen in mud. just for you Toledo sports fans.
Thanks for those great pictures!
There were in the neighborhood of 10,000 people inside plus more outside.
One thing I like to do during this campaign is to look up news from four years ago. Well four years ago at this time, Mitt Romney was coming off a somewhat disastrous trip to England where he briefly met with PM Tony Cameron and made some ill-chosen remarks about London not being totally prepared to host the Olympics which got him in hot water with the press over there.
Romney was obviously trying to come off as an Olympic expert, having "rescued" the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002. But it backfired bigtime.
Anyway, it was just another lackluster day in a lackluster campaign for Mitt Romney. This is exactly what we would have had this year with Jeb Bush. Pull up some of his 2012 "rallies" on YouTube...they are cringe-worthy.
Still, Romney had a decent shot at winning in November. Imagine how well the GOP will do now that they have a real candidate who is infused with energy and surrounded by enthusiasm.
I bet Donald had more people than were at the DNC. They were paying for “actors” to fill the seats.
[They were paying for actors to fill the seats.]
They were also paying for actors to fill the podium...
Thank you very much. I have been in this venue and I believe this place is packed to the rafters.
I watched for maybe 10 minutes last night, during Kaine's speech. Place looked pretty full. No idea who was being paid to be there, though.
that’s amazing
