Arizona General Election Poll: Donald Trump Holds 7.5% Lead Over Hillary Clinton…

A new general election poll of Arizona voters (full pdf below) conducted by independent organization IWS research shows Donald Trump with a 7.5 advantage (48.8%) over Hillary Clinton (41.3%). This poll does not reflect any media influence.

PHOENIX – Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump maintains a seven and a half point lead over rival Hillary Clinton among likely general election voters in Arizona.

The survey conducted on Friday, July 29 asked 679 respondents who their choice for President was should the election be held today. The survey also asked for the major party candidates’ general favorability.

Polling was conducted using a clustered IVR approach and results were weighted to reflect the perceived electorate based on past presidential election trends in Arizona. (link)

This is honestly how I see the election actually playing out.

I think the minor party candidates will deny the two parties of a majority in the election, but I think Trump will get a nice plurality while Clinton polls somewhere just North of her favorable/Likable/Honesty rating. I also think a lower turnout among Black and Hispanic voters due to no Obama on the ticket will increase Trumps percentage.

BTW: This type of a popular vote outcome would swing ALL swing states to Trump and possibly some solid Blue states. Think Washington as they would have lots of Libertarian and Green Party defectors. That would give Trump a landslide in the electoral college.

Not many Arizonans are feeling the Johnson. That’s a good sign. We do have a lot of potheads here so I’m surprised he’s only at 3%.
