The natural progression of evolution is from biological to cyborg. Once biological life gets smart enough, it builds cyborgs who are so superior to them, the cyborgs take over and dispense with the biological life.

We’re sending out radar and satellite links that we can’t bring back. It doesn’t matter if they “ask” or we “correspond” - we’ve already told the universe we’re here, and they can learn a lot from those signals beyond the fact someone is creating them.

Meh. Since a reply would take a coupla thousand light years (at least) to get to the ET invaders we’ll be ready by then, either to conquer ‘em or to hand the keys over to ‘em and see if they can do a better job managing the joint.
