Deputies issued a statewide Amber Alert for a missing 4-year-old Lakeland girl who officials say may have been abducted by a man named West Wild Hogs.

Rebecca Lewis, 4, went missing Saturday morning from her home at the Lazy Dazy Retreat Mobile Home Park on U.S. Highway 98.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said Lewis' 16-year-old sister woke up and saw her sleeping at 9 a.m. She woke up again 45 minutes later and her little sister wasn't in bed. Her parents started searching and looked around for more than an hour. They then called law enforcement.

Deputies searched their home then went house-by-house looking for the girl. They used police dogs and a helicopter to scan the area but couldn't find any trace of her. . .

My phone went crazy last night and this morning with warnings. Hope they find her. Appears he is an ‘estranged friend’. It crossed my mind......could he be her father?

It was his mother’s car. And it has a disabled tag. Originated in Alabama.

How horrific. :(

Saw a re-run of “The Lovely Bones” the other night. Absolutely chilling.

Exactly what I was thinking of. Horrible. Praying they find this little before any harm comes to her.

He must be known to her already and maybe to her parents. Is he perhaps related to her? her father?

Family friend.

I was remarking on the way the sentence was constructed, implying the mother stole the car.

Remember, Hillary defended the rapist of a 12-year-old girl.

Actually, there isn’t all that much else at that last site I linked to. Appeared to be when I first pulled it up. There are some additional photos though.

People are entitled to a defense, even the most reprehensible. Of all the bad things Hillary has done, that doesn’t even make the scale.

Apparently you aren’t aware of the details. She knew the rapist was guilty and other stuff. This certainly belongs on the list of horrible things the she-devil has done.

If a lawyer knows their client is lying, they are supposed to admit that, not cover up for him.

The age-old question as to how can a lawyer defend, with a clear conscience, a client known to be guilty, has a simple answer. To wit: the lawyer forces the state to LEGALLY prove the client’s guilt. He will not permit, for instance, the use of hearsay evidence, evidence obtained without a warrant, screwed up lab tests, etc. He will NOT knowingly permit his client to lie under oath. The other thing that defense counsel can do for a guilty client is to access his liability under the available evidence, and negotiate as favorable a sentence as possible. Hope this helps.

You would fail legal ethics.

The lawyer can't assist a client in perpetrating a fraud on the court, but they certainly can't say that their client is lying. (And, indeed, unless the client says 'I'm going to lie on the stand under oath', the lawyer really has no way to know for sure what stories from the client are true, and which are false, unless the lawyer was present when the crime was committed.)

Sleep through 2L?

The she-devil knew he was lying, and defended him as though he was innocent of the crime, knowing he was guilty.

That’s damning enough for me and if it’s legal for lawyers to do that, it should not be.

I see.

That’s a rotten way to run a legal system.
