Roush Fenway Racing driver Darrell Wallace Jr. was able to see a grandmother before she passed away thanks to the help of Dale Earnhardt Jr.
In two Twitter posts, Wallace shared his favorite memories of his Granny Jan before thanking Earnhardt for letting him use his plane to get to Knoxville, Tennessee, to see her. Wallace also thanked Joey Meier, the spotter for Brad Keselowski for his help.
In the post about his grandmother, Wallace recounts her love of playing cards and bingo and how playing with her taught him a few life lessons.

A great story. Earnhart Jr out much of the year recovering from a concussion in a NASCAR racing accident.
NASCAR Ping
Nascar IS Family!
I wondered if he was Rusty Wallace’s kin until I looked on wikipedia. Whoops! Ah well, honest mistake... I quit NASCAR in the late 1990’s.
He is an up and coming driver in the 2nd tier NASCAR Xfinity racing series.
Thanks for the ping...
I was wondering how you are doing. I have not heard from you lately.
NASCAR is so much like a family, but the France family is trying to PC it. Dale Jr is one of the old timers who will step aside soon - Jeff Gordon retired, Tony Stewart is retiring after next week and the new guys - Chase Elliot, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, the Dillon boys...and a few others from the regional series will be stepping in their shoes.
I found love on Face Book...
