When I was a teacher in inner-city St. Louis, I used to let them go at it for about 30 seconds. They run out of energy by then and made my job breaking it up easier. You wouldn’t believe how fast they run out of energy these days.

Most people think real fights go on and on, like in the movies.

They sap the energy out of the fighters. I’ve not seen a fight in a while, but I don’t think I ever saw one on the street that lasted more than a couple of minutes. But, of course, everyone was drunk.

I would have thrown in a few machetes and gotten out of that room. This teacher will be unemployed in minutes.
